I am in the process of developing a continence program in our nursing
home. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start?
Thanks!

Burn the diapers and restraints. Use the money to hire staff to toilet

everyone q2h. How many falls are NOT related to getting to the bathroom?

And for the CMS required care plan, the procedure is called "bladder
training." Normin N is correct, get rid fo the ATTENDS and hire
attendants (also called Nurse Aides). I do not know what jurisdiction
you are in but look at your facilities report on medicare.gov and look
for nursing home comparisons.

I tried for 5yrs at my last job to help with incontinence in our LTC
facility, "NOTHING" really helped. I agree, more staff to toilet q2hrs
is all it would need to keep eveyone dry. But your willingness is
applauded! Keep up the good work.
