Brent,
did you see anything in the news, yesterday about Sauerkraut
being effective against this avian flu bug?
There have actually been studies.
I'll see if I can dig up a link.
If Sauerkraut kills virii, what might it do to Bb?
CALC
Read something about it. post the link if ya got it.
So if the avian flu come about i suppose i'll need to have a strict
diet of Sauekraut hotdogs.
THAT i can live with. literally!
For your gustorial pleasure, allow me to suggest the following:

In some parts of the USA, a hot dog is referred to as a "Coney Island"
and, Nathan's is undoubtedly the founder of that tradition.
Nathan's is all beef (stick that in your mouth PETA). However, remember
to get the low salt variety.
BTW, when sauerkraut goes bad, does it become sweetkraut?
Oh, and if Petey is reading this...I grew up with Nathan's grandson.
mmmmhhh yum. Even knowing whats in those dogs they still look good.
I'd like to read up more on how exactly they came up with the idea to
feed kimchi to chickens? I'm certain mind altering drugs played a part
in this.
We live near Flushing, NY, which is heavily Korean, and I spent some time
in Vietnam working with the Korean White Horse Division (they are so tough
that their paratroopers do not use parachutes.) We enjoy going out in the
area for Korean food.

I learned that Kimchi is to Korean as chicken soup is to Jews. The
Vietnamese make a sauce, Nuc Mam, that is similar, but Kimchi is far
spicier.
Kimchi is common here in Hawaii, available in any supermarket, and yes it is
spicier than nucmam. I love Hawaiian kimchi, but the two varieties I tasted
in Korea were so garlicy and salty as to be nearly inedible. Go figure.
Also, Vietnamese food is, in general, spicier than Korean.

Agreed...that is why I miss Vietnamese food. I used to love stand-downs
in Saigon...what a switch from the early MRE (Meals Rejected by
Ethiopeans) known a LRRP rations.
A truly excellent way to cleanse your sinuses. |

What was the accepted treatment for the flu in1918? Was it arsenic,
mercury, strychnine, bleeding, or what?? I suspect that if the flu
did not kill you, your doctor might.
Additionally, my favorite remedy is the hot toddy. Tea, lemon juice,
honey, and whiskey. It won't cure the flu, but if you drink enough you
won't mind being ill.

Hmmm...maybe that is what explains your posts. |
