Good morning:
I was diagnosed suprarenal AAA 3.9 cm. in size April 2004.
At the time had regular cholesterol. High triglycerides.
BP 130/90.
Age 56, 6' 3", weight 105.00 Kg.
Medications: Altace 10 mg. Lipitor 10 mg. and aspirin, daily
Surgically I’m under a conservative observation with ultrasound every six months.
Diagnosis comes after about 6 to 7 years searching for excruciating low back pain attributed in principle to arthritis, bone deterioration and aging; one or all of them.
After one year with medication, the blood pressure stays at 130/140 over 90, pulse is at times as low as 45/48. I lost weight going to about 102 Kg. and regain 2 to 3 Kg.
Exercise: Walk 30 minutes every other day.
I would like to ask if somebody can shade light over the pros and cons of living with AAA.
What actions or omissions will increase the risk or rupture.
In the event of surgery, which procedure is recommended?
Any help will be highly appreciated.
