Pacemaker and/or Defibrillator with External Monitor?

Some weeks ago on TV, I saw a program which was talking about how many
of these devices (pacemaker, defibrillator) work wrongly or fail
altogether, ..... & that there's now a monitor you can carry around with
you (like a cell phone, only larger), which will keep the doctor
informed of how your devices are working, & how your health is.

However, I can't find this info on the internet.

Would someone please help?
