How do you know it was really dead and not just (well) ...playing

Good point. He/she might deserve the academy award on this one, though.

I didn't think of that...it is many blocks from Prospect or the swamps of

south Brooklyn!

Maybe they are an escaped experiment from Brooklyn College...isn't that
nearby?

Oh...I have seen some scary big rats...it wasn't until I saw the striped and

furry tail that I was convinced this was a separate species!

Exactly. Just how talented are these critters?

They used to get into the new buildings we were working on downtown. I
chased a small one inside the Renaissance Building one time. It was only
the size of a large cat. When it ran into a pile of trash ten feet high and
thirty feet in diameter, I knew it was on its own turf, and I backed off.
The sky-scrapers all have permanent pest control workers there five days a
week. The rats get inside the walls during construction, and are basically
impossible to get out. I had a family of rats jump out of my sweater one
morning as I was pulling it over my head. Made me think of what it would
have been like if I pulled the sweater over my head before they jumped out.

In fact while walking around a track a while ago one large
rat was slowly walking around it on the other side.

I snuck up near one one night and suddenly yelled out scaring it.
It was nearly my size but became very frightened. It
actually jumped across the street, (I was amazed at its
leaping ability) and ran into a houses , fenced in backyard
where after 15 seconds I heard a large crashing sound.

Why would you scare your brother like that.

Hey, people don't pay me money for my families photos
because they contain real pictures of Bigfoot!
