Amiodarone and tremors

My husband was on Amiodarone for three months. He stopped taking it
last November. He developed tremors while he was on it. The doctor
said they would go away once he was off the drug and it was out of his
system.

He still gets tremors. They don't usually last long, an hour or so,
and he gets them every couple of days. He finds it very annoying and
embarrassing. The doctor says it's nothing to be concerned about but I
wondered if there was anything we could do.

How long does it take to get this drug completely out of the system? I
know it takes a long time, but it's been about six months.
