It's hard to judge this. You are the one who is doing most of the
talking. DD(?) isn't saying much, I didn't hear her say "..once he threw
a chair and a dictionary at me".
Kathleen: "You got to tell what he is doing to you."
Kathleen: "Well, what will he do?"
Then I hear DD say "He will drive me insane. He will lock me in my room.
He will yell at me every two seconds". But it doesn't become clear why
she is crying and what "he" is doing/has done to her.
What if Donald reads this newsgroup and listen to this? |

It's really all about Kathleen. Her child is a pawn on this recording. The
whole world doesn't need to know what's going on with this child. The
comment "the whole world has to know what he's doing to you or they won't
believe me. They'll think I'm the liar" is about as clear as you can be
about whose agenda is being served. It's all about Kathleen. I don't know
about the child's father, but based on this little clip, Kathleen would not
have my approval of a good parent looking out for what's best for her kids.
It sounds to me that she is driving the girl to tears to try and meet her
own ends. Sad.

We already know all about what he did and continues to do the
children. She had already told me what he did, before I turned on
the recorded.
This is just one of many incidents of chronia abuse of my children
and their CRYING ALL THE TIME ON THE PHONE TO ME ABOUT
WHAT THAT MANIAC DOES TO THEM.
Donald Dickson was formally diagnosed as a sociopath in 1995
by a one J. Dvaid Ruffner, MD, New London, CT, and clearly has
an extensive history of domestic violence

Except for the part where I had to wait 3 years for Ruffner to loan
me a book entitled SOCIOPATHY, and finally tell me "I can't FIX
your husband for you. He is a sociopath. Sociopaths are BORN
that way. They STAY that way."

Agreed, I was thinking the same while listening to the recording, which
is for the most part a monologue of Kathleen. And it doesn't seem she is
talking to her daughter but is talking to the recorder, If you know what
I mean. She calls me insane again, so why would I mince matters. |

Such psychological destruction!!....yapping AT the poor girl like a MANIAC
(with incessant, self-centered, insane and ugly blithering.) It is NOT
MENTALLY HEALTHY for a child to ever hear that from their out-of-control
ranting mother and way, way, way at too much of an adult level.
IMHO, Kathleen needs counseling to resolve her 'issues'.
If she REALLY wants to help her children, she will seek help for herself
FIRST. As it is now, she is more of a detriment to those children, than a
nurturing parent.
I would hope that DCF has insisted on counseling for both of those children
(for their own mental health) and also family counseling for them and their
father to work through day to day life and strengthen their bonds.
What I heard in the recording was Kathleen treating her daughter like a
possession and causing psychological disturbance to the poor child.
If this situation does not calm down, DCF should remove both those children
from both parents and put them up for adoption, never to have contact with
either parent again. Then maybe they'll have a chance to develop into
normal, healthy human beings in a loving, nurturing environment.
