Bunk surely?

Howdy folks,
It's been suggested to me recently that hypnotherapy is contra-indicated for
patients with certain coronary problems related specifically to low blood
pressure because their BP might lower dangerously in hypnosis. I've heard
this rumour at least once before but can't find a darned thing to support it
searching in the medical abstracts.
Clinical hypnotherapists do a considerable amount of good work with
hypertension and coronary care patients and this, along with boosting
t-cells to fight infection, reducing inflamation (MS and Rhumatoid
Arthritis), managing pain (cancer), is the type of thing you trip over in
places like pubmed to support relaxation exercises/hypnotherapy in the fight
against illness.
I'm pretty sure it's bunk. Any theories? (Please state if you're a
cardiologist.)

Advising folks to avoid hypotherapy because of risk of hypotension has
not been part of my experience.

Thanks, Doc.
It did seem quite an odd claim to me because, let's face it, if hypnosis
could pose a danger to patients with low blood pressure or a dicky heart
then the patient would surely be in trouble that night as they fell asleep.
I've never heard of death by hypnotherapy either.
