Just curious, from a technical standpoint, what is the reason for doing
a ct scan after a gallium scan? I posted before about having a "hot"
spot on my gallium scan. Doctor scheduled a ct scan which was normal.
If it would have been abnormal what would they have found? I mean can
it tell if a lymph node is enlarged or soemthign?

I wrote you this once,but I will repeat it.Gallium scan shows sites of
inflammation.It picks up lymphoma,too.But how can you distinguish
between lymphoma and inflammation if you get a hot spot on Gallium
scan?By doing a CT.Your CT was normal,so there are not enlarged lymph
nodes in your body=no lymphoma.If your CT had showed enlarged lymph
node(which it hadn't),you would have probably undergone biopsy.Will
you calm down finally and try to treat these panic attacks,not to
mention hypochondria?Try to live your life,it is a short one,for
everyone of us.Steph told you nicely to forget about everything,and he
is a brilliant oncologist.But,you don't trust doctors,so why do you go
to see them?Why are you asking Steph for explanation,if you don't
believe what he says?If your doctors had a slightest suspicion you have
cancer,you would be in hospital now.

lymphoma? Is that true Steph?

I did not know that. SO If not lymph nodes are "enlarged" then there is
no cancer, right?

Is this also true of non lymphoma cancer that begins somewhere else and
ends up in the "lymph nodes"? So a ct can tell if there is cancer in
the lymph nodes without actually "cutting" them out?

Yes,lymph nodes are always enlarged in lymphoma.Sorry I wrote this,you
