Zee,

I read your interesting posts related to memory problems related to
statins. I agree with you that statins do cause memory problems in some
people. I am part of that group. My memory problems started getting better
about two weeks after I stopped taking statins.

I just wanted you to know that there are other causes of memory problems.
My father died (lung cancer) about twenty years ago. During the last year
of his life, he had serious memory problems. He never took statins.

I have a neighbor that was involved in a major car accident. He has
serious memory problems. He can't even pass his driver's test so his wife
is the only one in his family that can drive the car. He has never taken
statin pills.

There may be other causes that I do not know about.

Thanks for your efforts in telling people about the side effects of
statins. Keep up the great work.
Jason

The context here is cardiovascular disease, drugs relevant to
cardiovascular disease, and their side effects.

Statins have potential to cause memory loss, aphasia, transient globabl
amnesia and other life-altering cognitive adverse effects.

Only of course in those who use them.
