Chart of standard contact Optical Zone sized

Is the information available that shows the standard Optical Zone for
the available contact lenses on the market? I'd like to do some of my
own investigating on solutions for my issue with contacts and my big
pupils. I was content with Surevue, but they were bought by Acuvue
(sp?) and now evidently are made the same way, which doesn't work for
me. I tried them. I'm now using the Frequency 55 Aspherics which
minimizes the issue because of how they are constructed, but I'd like
to get the data about what contacts might have a naturally larger
Optical Zone.
Either that or does someone know who makes contacts with the largest
Optical Zone (without getting custom made)?

Why would this information be kept from the public? I must get it from
my eye doctor? I believe I have the right to the access of this data.
It would facilitate my discovery of a better lense by being able to
narrow down my search. I have noticed my low light reading ability has
been reduced as well from these contacts. What contacts have approx.
9.0 mm? That might be a good place to start.

i don't believe there is any attempt to keep you from getting this
information. probably you can get it from the manufacturer's website.
however, this information is conveniently tabulated and sold to eyecare
professionals in a publication called Tylers Quarterly. i don't have a
copy handy to give you the information you request however. it is
useful in choosing specific brands of contacts for persons with large
pupil sizes, etc.

Actually, you were a big help. I wasn't aware of the name Tyler's
Quarterly. Some searches on that pulled up a discussion and where you
can get similar information from a web site called www.eyedock.com.
Doing a search on contacts with 9mm or greater gave me a list I can
work with. It also gave me some links to information such as what kind
of process was made to create the lenses, how they are shaped, etc...
Very useful indeed.
