1. Severely dilated left ventricle. There is global left ventricular
systolic dysfunction. Left ventricular ejection fraction is estimated in
the neighborhood of 15 to 20%.

2. Right ventricle is also mild to moderately dilated.

3. The left atrium is mildly dilated.

4. The right atrium appears to be at the upper limit of normal range.

5. There is moderate to severe mitral regurgitation. The mechanics of
the mitral regurgitation appears to be dliatation of the annulus of the
mitral valve.

6. The aortic valve is tricuspid. There is mild aortic regurgitation.
There is no aortic stenosis.

7. There is mild tricuspid regurgitation.

8. Pulmonary artery systolic pressure is estimated in the neighbrhood of
45 mmHg.

9. There is no tricuspid stenosis.

10. There is no significant pulmonary stenosis or regurgitation.

11. No masses, no shunts, no vegetations and no significant pericardial
effusion is noted.

-------------------

I was first diagnosed as having "major congestive heart failure", at the
ER about two weeks ago.

And I lost ten pounds in about 24 hours, after the shot of lasix the ER
gave me.

There is no diabetes, no high blood pressure, etc.

One doctor believes the damage is mostly due to drugs for breast cancer.

I believe the damage is due to injuries & to drugs for breast cancer.

The suggestions are: heart cath, possible angioplasty (?), defibrillator
insertion, ...... & lastly, heart transplant.

-----------------------

If a defibrillator were inserted, is there one now, which can withstand
proximity to microwave ovens, since these ovens seem to be almost
everywhere?

And which is the best defibrillator on the market?

--------------------

What are the risks & benefits of heart catheterization?

--------------------

???

Thanks.
