Has anyone who has taken Metoprolol with similar complications?

I am 37 years of age two years my b/p shot up to like 160/90 with
palpitations. Now palpitations is under control.

B/p was also been under control. I know Metoprolol is know to have
side effects like importance etc. It has not been the perfect
medication for me but I have been living with it for sometime now.
Each time I try to change, all hell will break lose. My whole body
would flush, like needles pricking me everywhere, body would itch,
rash would appear and palpitations would be maximum. So I am sticking
to Metoprolol for sometime.

My problem now is recently my diastolic pressure was raised up like
100, full reading 150/90 or 100. Normaly 130/80 range or lesser

Ever since that happened my neck area was like someone choking me. I
checked for Thyroid problem with the T4 test all turned normal. I have
a small lump though in my neck area going for biopsy later.

My problem for the past one month now is dizziness, light headed ness,
I can't stand heat now, sweat a lot, tiredness, glands under the neck
a little painful, extreme nervousness at times, later the pain would
go to the head, neck choking sensation has gone now but more pain in
the neck area. My sleep has been good for fatigue is present.

My ECG is all perfect. Kidney profile and liver prolile, thyroid
prolile all ok. So is anyone facing the same problem, do you all
think that Metoprolol is the culprit?

you have posted to
sci.med.cardiology,sci.med.pharmacy,sci.med.psychobiology,soc.culture.malaysia,jaring.general

where are you now?
your message below does not show complete medical profile of yourself
what is your full ecg profile?
your blood chemistry report?
your x ray reports?
your brain scan reports?

all these are necessary to give exact diagnosis of your problem
are you doing self medication?

may i suggest that you go to a specialist centre to have all the above done
i doubt any of the groups you address to will give you the right answer to
your present problem.

From what you describe, infection sounds more likely than an AE to
metoprolol.

In Christ's love and service,
