Hello,
I am with a manufacturer of fine jewelry and am currently looking for
those interested in forming a partnership to sell jewelry on eBay or
anywhere else. I work for Elie International, a manufacturer of fine
jewelry located in the heart of the diamond district in New York City.
We have been in the jewelry business for over 23 years and are
registered with the Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT registration #
01222207) and Dunne & Bradstreet.
For the first time in our company's history we are looking to build
partnerships with individual sellers. We hold an extensive stock of
over 24,000 items and need vendors to keep it moving. By selling our
merchandise on eBay, or to family and friends, we become your partner
not your competitor and offer you fine jewelry at wholesale prices
which are a FRACTION of what YOUR CUSTOMERS pay in retail stores. We
understand that many buyers are apprehensive about paying for
merchandise up front, and we have devised our Direct Purchase
Partnership program with these concerns in mind. Our Guaranteed Movers
Policy states that if you cannot sell one of our items within 6 months
we will exchange it. This insures that you are never stuck with
merchandise you can't sell. We want to strongly emphasize that this
is a partnership and we offer our partners the full support that they
need, including pictures, prices and descriptions of all merchandise to
get them started. Please contact us via e-mail at elieint@aol.com or at
(212) 719-0090 if you are interested or have any questions and please
include where you saw this message. Thank You

Re: Schedule II Dispensing Question

I agree with the calling BS on the CVS, but it is now (very recently)
against US FEDERAL LAW for a physician to write, "do not fill until" or
a like statement, the DEA views this as refills on C2 prescriptions and
thus defeating the purpose of not allowing refills on these Rx's. ANY
script with this on it is technically void. Now whether or not your
pharmacists knows this is another question. |

That is interesting but I am unable to find that law. Do you know where I
could look for it? I have inspected the US federal code but no luck so far.

Hi all ,
I hope this group is an appropriate place to ask his:
If someone is taking some antibiotic, say, a course of penicillin
to treat an infection/inflamation/abscess ...
would you recommend such patients to avoid drinking
"soda" products like Cola (coke), Gingerale ...that contains
carbonic acid ( i think H2CO3 (H2O+CO2)) ?
would it reduce the absorption/efficiency of the antibiotic?
And...
would taking caffeine or the similar stimulating alkaloid, ...etc
like drinking considerable amount of coffee or tea ...
(or maybe ginsing..)
would this boosts up the effeciency of the penicillin or
other antibiotics or would it reduce the effciency of the medication
and obstruct its functionality?
(or would it have just no effect?)
if you don't have an answer, could you please
refer me to web resources/research done in this area that
you would recommend,
thank you very much in advance
|
Adam,
Hang in there and someone will answer you soon. This groups does not
transcribe medical dictation .... we post about pharmacy
issues.
Sheila isn't that bright, and along with top-posting, which is
the wrong way to post messages, she's full of s**t.

You might want to double-check yourself before you call someone else full
of **it. Check and see where your comment was also posted because _you_
also posted in sci.med.transcription, which is not about pharmacy issues.
When I responded to this question, it shows it being posted in the
following places:
sci.med.pharmacy,sci.med.telemedicine,sci.med.transcription. |

WADR, please note that this message was cross-posted to several |
newsgroups including sci.med.transcription, and while both she and you
apparently overlooked that fact, she was absolutely correct in regard to
whether it's appropriate in regard to that particular newsgroup. I
would also note that top-posting, while improper in most venues, is
generally accepted within s.m.t.. I suggest that an apology might be
apropos for shooting from the hip here.

My brother is about 50 years old.
All of a sudden he is getting a lot of pain in his calves. Not sure if
it is because of the winter cold or just general stress.
He is normal in most ways. Maybe a little bad cholesterol and
borderline on glucose/diabetes. No major problems. He is NOT overweight
by much - maybe 6 pounds or so. He does not do much exercise...mostly
computer work.
He asks his sons to apply pressure by standing or sitting on his
calves. This seems to help sometimes.
Has anyone had similar experiences and any cures ? or anything to
reduce the pain other than pain reducing pills ?
Is it indicative of any disease ?
Is is arthiritis ? or rheumatism ? or any disease ?
What should he do ?
Any input would be highly appreciated.
Thanks
Tina

I had a complete heart workup, nuclear tests etc., and one discerning
question the doc asked
was "do your calves hurt?" in reference to possible heart inefficiencies.
You really ought to get your bro to a doc tommorrow; and don't wait -
wishing you had.
What's a few dollars (relatively) to rule out heart disease, which is
the #1 killer in U.S.???
Good luck, and I hope it's just muscular - at lease that would rule out
the worse option!

Hi,
What is DVT ?

I advise you to take him to a doctor. There is one type of
atherosclerosis--I forgot the exact name--that affects the legs. In other
words, it means that the main arteries to his legs are partially blocked
by plaque. There are medications that can help. His doctor will probably
give him one of the statins.

It (could) be DVT also. Deep Venous Thrombosis in your calves. (Blood Clots)
They hurt like hell---
I had/have it, and there is intense pain in the upper part of the calf,
where it feels like there is a "vee" where two muscles curve apart.
About 2 inches below your knee, in the back.
Doctor checked it out with her fingers, then an ER Dye Test.
One thing--when I pushed with my thumb on the painful area like she did, she
got extremly excited and strongly said
"DON'T DO THAT!!!"
"You may dislodge a clot!, and it will go straight to your lungs as an
Pulmonary Embolism!"
See a Doc, and if it continues, go to the ER.
I got where it was very painful to even press on the car's gas pedal.
My Dr , seeing it, told me to go STRAIGHT to the ER, and absolutely NOT
drive home to get any clothes or whatever.
They put me on Heparin blood thinner for a week, IV, hospital stay.
Now I am on blood thinner for the rest of my life, to help prevent clots.
Sorry for the capitols, I'm just repeating how the Dr said it.
Best to you---
Ron

Oh boy. Just wait until - Mr. Adysthemic gets a hold of you.
At least in my post, spam or not, it was about PHARMACY and not
something COMPLETELY OFF TOPIC like Jewelry sales.
Can't you post this in a FORUM that is appropriate??
Do you have anything to contribute to this group with regards to
PHARMACY??
If the answer is "NO", you might want to stop posting here.
This is just plain silly. |
