Glaucoma and Swimming

Hi

Recently my mom who is 75 had glaucoma (some kind of stents inserted). She used to be an avid swimmer, but now she is afraid that if she returns to swimming she will damage her eyes. Her doctor says it would be fine. Does anyone have any advice or comments?

Also, since the surgery (about 3 months ago) her eyes have been tearing allot any advice or comments on this.
