You have to use your kill filters to use most Usenet newsgroups. This one
still works, but newbies don't stay.

The Cleveland Clinic has been ranked #1 for hospital quite a few times.
On the other hand (which should be Andrew Bee Chung), he HAS won a few

I found that I could not "kill" fast enough all the OT postings here.

You have to keep adding people to your kill file for a while. After that,
only a few crazies leak through.

I don't think it really solves anything to use killfiles. Various
posters have chased away most of the informed people who might choose to
read and post here.
While using a killfile will limit one's own personal exposure to certain
posters and OT posts, it doesn't improve the general loss of community
in smc. It's unfortunate, but for the most part this newsgroup is dead.
