Source for phenindamine?

I've been using phenindamine (Nolahist) for about a year now. It seems
to be the only non-sedating antihistamine that does anything for me.
This was once a Carnrick product, then was taken over by Amarin. When
that went out of business, Valeant picked up their lines.
Last year, I tried reordering it, and found that it was "backordered" at
Cardinal. Tried calling various other retailers who order in from
McKesson, Bergen Brunswick etc., and it was backordered there too. When
I called Valeant, they confirmed this status; I asked for a release
date, the guy put me on hold for a while, came back and told me that
there isn't any, because they've discontinued it altogether.
The last lot ever made had an expiration date of 10/05, so whatever
stock anyone had left is now gone. Some online retailers still claim to
have it, but if you actually go ahead and order it they come back and
tell you it's out of stuck (well no kidding). The problem is that this
was a single source product in the USa. There never was a generic as far
as I know, and I can't even find the bulk chemical, at Aldrich/Sigma,
Paddock, etc. (if I could, I'd punch capsules for myself).
So: Does anyone out there know of another source for this drug/chemical?
Perhaps under a different trade name, from another country, or what have
you. I've done some rudimentary Googling, and haven't turned anything up
as of yet.
Thanks...
