Whether the treatment will eventually produce a permanent cure or not
is difficult to say with any degree of certainty, but the results so
far obtained are certainly striking in some cases. The patients got rid
of the habit and gained weight after the treatment; appetite returned
and general health improved in a remarkable manner. The following
provisional conclusions can be drawn from the few data obtained:

That the treatment with vesicatory serum injections is a valuable
measure in the treatment of opium addicts.

That the addicts who have any will-power left will probably be
completely and permanently cured of the habit through its agency.

That those who have no will-power left, although they may be
temporarily benefited, will probably relapse as soon as they have the
opportunity.

Tom...did you see where they were giving the people in China 6-9 eggs a day
for the lecithin. *OUCH* on the cholesterol. I have been taking lecithin
softgels for many years since it used to be purported to disperse fat
particles in the blood stream (and possibly help reduce the buildup of scar
tissue after surgery also - but you can't prove the latter by me).

Anyway, I still take one 1200 mg softgel a day along with my multi vitamin
and mineral tab. I am not a supplement freak at all, but I try to keep
tuned from time to time. Currently the lecithin bottles are labeled as
supporting "healthy nerve and brain function", but I still believe it can
assist in dispersing fat particles in the blood stream - which hopefully is
a good thing, if it really does.
