SO?

Now that it's over...what do you think?

What about the infamous headbutt?

Looks like the Italians may have deliberately tried to provoke him to
do this, just so they could get him off the field...same way they have
tried to get calls from the officials all during the tournament.

I wouldn't be too proud to be a fan of Italy's club.

Notice who chimed in here and seems consider themself somewhat
knowledgeable about the game.

See, this is the type of thing I was trying to explain...not saying
that the game itself is not "manly" or virile, but I think a lot of
American males consider it as such.

In other words, it shouldn't surprise anyone that Princess Brucie is a
fan...

....and that reference to the Tony awards?

How limp-wristed GAY is that?

portugal flops around as much as italy if not moreso. a portugal/italy
final would be hilarious to watch. the soccer version of the tonys.

So who do you like now?

If Portugal wins...then it would seem you have a very physical team
(Portugal) against a team that falls down and writhes in agony if you
happen to touch them (Italy).

That could lead to an interesting final.

I am going to go out on a limb and guess the Italians...2-0.

Again, I really am not well-versed enough in the sport to have an
educated opinion...but I swear the Italians are a bunch of drama-queen
prima donnas. Damn...how bad does it hurt to get tripped and fall down?

They sure do sweat a lot, though.

And for a country with such a reputation for aggressiveness, the
Germans seemed remarkably passive.

This was the best game I saw of the "2006 FIFA World Cup". And the
ending was GREAT! Wonderful goals, especially the first one, which was
more than wonderful! Good preparation by a player who didn't loose
control and oversight (and shoots himself), but who looks and passes the
ball and then a miraculous shot by Fabio Grosso. Amazing!

And then 1 or 2 minutes later another very nice goal. I really enjoyed
this game, it was very satisfying to me.

I missed Spain-France, which I heard was great too, with Zinedine Zidane
finally playing great again. So I am looking forward to France-Portugal.

So, only 15 minutes to go. For me it's now time to watch TV.

Who will win? Hard to tell, but I think Germany will win. Anyway, It's
better when Germany loses in the final.. Smile
