Hi, due to gum infection my dentist removed a lower jaw back tooth next to
the wisdom, tooth a couple of years ago.

The wisdom tooth itself had been removed many years before that.

Now since the last removal, the opposing upper teeth seem to have grown
longer, affecting the 'bite'. i.e. the teeth top and bottom do not sit
comfortable against each other.

Is this now a complicated situation? Since my dentist is very young and i
guess i would prefer someone with experience if this is likely to be at all
complicated. thanks for any advice.

Any time a tooth in occlusion is removed, it is common for the opposing
tooth to supererupt.

In other words, when you take out a back tooth, the opposite tooth that
used to bite against it will often move into that space. It feels like
that opposing tooth has "grown longer."

Any dentist should be able to evaluate the situation and explain your
treatment options.

Best regards,

If many many teeth are removed this leads to macaronitis and mu****is.

People who enjoy reading some posts once a
day or two times per week or once a month

might want to comment just once or twice about
some post .... any post.

Say anything so people will know you are alive
and well, and the forum will appear alive and well.
All forums need a little variety so say anthing like,
"Makes Me No Nevermind,"
ANYTHING. Just do not sit there read without writing.

and people who do try to get some information and post here get the quality
of response from above !
