Lucentis Obtains FDA Approval for Treating Wet AMD

Yesterday, Genentech announced that the FDA had approved its drug
Lucentis for treating wet age-related macular degeneration. Because of
its pricing, there are many questions yet to be answered, in light of
Genentech's other drug, Avastin, being used to treat the same
condition, but at a much lower price per dose.
