Primal Defense research?
|
|
|
I bought a bottle of Primal Defense and took it back after two weeks of
searching the web for independent research backing up its claims. I
know Garden of Life was/is embroiled in a controversy with the FDA. I
know that doesn't mean the product is bogus, but it does leave a bad
taste in my mouth (no pun intended).
So, I want to know if these things have been proven:
1. The organisms are alive at the time of purchase
2. The organisms are able to survive gastric juices
3. Certain conditions have been cured or helped
4. Multiple strains are really useful and don't counteract each other
5. HSOs are useful
I want to like this product, but I'm not interested in anecdotal
"evidence". Can someone point me to an independent report? |

From their marketing blurb:
"early research and anecdotal evidence"
In other words no research meeting any standards or published in peer
reviewed journals. Eat some yogurt with some live critters in it, much
less expensive. |

Actually, that's exactly what I'm doing. I did see some research
related to DanActive and Activia, both by Dannon. I also see that
Europe is far ahead of us with several good yogurt products. Nothing
here--as far as I can tell--except Dannon and Stoneybrook. |
