Adverse Health Effects From Amagams: PEER-REVIEWED STUDY
|
|

First, thank you so much Ms Drew for posting this study.
Second, this is the wrong question regarding safety:
| Quote: | So, the replacement for Silver Amalgams is what?
|
People deserve to know the true dangers for some people about amalgams
so they can properly choose which course to go ...
It's the same thing with breast implants, no manufacturer has come up
with a good alternative to silicone implants (all implants now are in
a silicone bag, whatever they are filling them with now) ... so the
Breast Implant Industry and their shills scream that it is about
"choice" ... and want the FDA to lie to the public and claim they are
"safe."
They are not .... and should NOT by any means, receive the gold
standard from the FDA.

I believe there are a multitude of variables ...
Someone close to me was so allergic to mercury that exposure would
cause him to react severely when others in the same setting had no
adverse response.
I believe it has to do with how much 'load' on the immune system is
going on at the time also ...
Unfortunately for the public, the most aggressive purveyors of
information about this, the Quackwatch Rag-tag Posse Team have been
spreading lies about mercury for years.
Just recently, Probert repeated the very false claim:

"Remember, you cannot have an allergic reaction to Mercury.
As part of the Disinformation Campaign put out by the vast dental
industry denying the dangers of mercury and amalgam, Probert parroted
this lie. There is an enormous amount of information available as to
the subset of individuals who show a strong allergic reaction to
mercury. Here is but a small sampling.

Systemically induced allergic exanthem from mercury.
Allergy Unit, Department of Dermatology, University Hospital, Basel,
Switzerland.
Recovery from mercury-induced burning mouth syndrome due to mercury
allergy.
Department of Dermatological Sciences, University of Milan, Ospedale
Maggiore-IRCCS, Milan, Italy. |

Research such as the Tubigen study clearly shows that a few people
have much more Hg exposure (100's or 1000's if you count methylation).
This is probably due to the fact that some amalgams are defective, are
placed in galvanic cirucit configurations, corrode or even that some
people
may be able to break the amalgam down.
So this is the extreme case. The other two cases are significant
elevated
exposure, what say 1-3% of the population gets, and the typical lower
level chronic exposure.
I certainly agree that even the so called low level chronic exposure
can
have significant affects which the person who has the amalgam may not
be awrare of. For example, someone I know who is not really
anti-amalgam
had large amalgam buildups for a crown which were removed when the
crown was removed. The next winter was the first time they never got
sick.
And if you think about it, we are exposed to 1000's of chemicals and
other
substances, yet it is not so easy to detect the negative impact these
have on
health. Why should it be so easy to quantify the effects of chronic Hg
exposure? |
