Vegetables may help arteries stay clear

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - A healthy dose of vegetables every day may help
keep the heart arteries clear, a study in mice suggests. Researchers found
that lab mice given a diet full of broccoli, carrots, green beans, corn and
peas developed far less artery narrowing than those reared on a veggie-free
diet.
.......
General Mills Co., maker of the Green Giant brand of canned and frozen
vegetables, funded the study.

Hey Jason,
Given who funded this study, should it be taken seriously?

Mice in practice eat herbivore diets, but are actually omnivores. What did
they feed the non-veggie group? Anyone know?
