Day / Night vision

I feel that during the daytime, I am right eye dominant. When I close my
left eye, the image remains in the same position. When I close my left
eye, the image shifts to the right.

After watching TV in a darkened room, switching the TV off makes me left
eye dominant. Closing my left eye, I don't have enough contrast for five
minutes. I can see dark, but not shapes, like shelves, lamp shades etc.
Where as my left eye has the initial contrast to be able to see the
lines of the shelves, the shapes of lamp shades. Five minutes later and
my eyes equalize.

I thought it was rather interesting because my eye doctor was asking me
about how I transition to dark and light. I thought I was pretty good,
but I noticed this yesterday and all those experiences came flooding back.

Given my symptoms, is this anything to think about?

One of the other things I think about being right eye dominant during
the day, Im worried that Im not using my left eye for binocular vision.
Just reminds me about some of the eye tests where I have extreme
difficulty in using both eyes together. I seem to flip between left and
right unless I concentrate.

Any thoughts?
