Back in mid-May you gave me some useful advice when I was uncertain
whether to have local or general anesthetic for a wisdom tooth
extraction. Yesterday I had the extraction, and based largely on your
comments I chose local. I was glad I took your advice. The specialist,
Dr. Rubin in Toronto, does nothing but extractions and had the tooth
out in sections with a minimum of discomfort. I drove home after the
treatment, something you said I couldn't do if I'd had general
anesthetic. Post-treatment, I took some Tylenol 2 they prescribed, and
have had very little discomfort. Today I'm eating solid, mushy food and
feel fine. All-in-all, it couldn't have gone better, thanks greatly to
your help. Oh, and because the tooth came out easily and for other
reasons, Dr. Rubin knocked $75 off my fee!

Thanks for the update (and kudos to Dr. Rubin!)
