Yup, he responded but removed MFW from his list so i would not see it.
Actually, I snipped MFW -- just like I did to this reply -- because the
context of the discussion has little to do with MFW and everything to
do with folks who have glucose impairments.

Bullshit. Don't bother thinking you can pull that with me. I know why
you did it and so does everyone else. That you wanted to save the good
people of MFW from a semi OT cross post....bwa ha ha ha.

Ok I retract my insults about the gut and short man syndrome. Now can
you answer my "goofy" questions? Really, I thought the questions are
sound.
Maybe someone else will answer them? It's just you seem to know alot
about whey Will, and maybe can dispell the myths I have brought for
with your knowledge. But whatever. |

Well low and behold, what a coincidence. Taken from Art Devany's site:
Vitamin A, Protein, and Testosterone
Some time ago, I had a talk with one of my colleagues at the
University. She was a sophisticated biologist who was commenting on the
deficient nutritional status of students. She told me she could see the
Vitamin A deficiencies in our students from their enlarged pupils,
their myopia, their tall stature, and their poor skin. Many students
used retinoic acid, under prescription, to battle acne and other skin
issues but this did not address their deficient Vitamin A status. A
high protein (and carb) diet induces Vitamin A deficiency. A low fat
diet does so as well, she said.
When I looked into it more I found that Vitamin A is essential to the
production of testosterone as well. Moreover, the high protein diets of
body builders depleted their Vitamin A. And their low fat diets put
them further into deficit.
I began taking a teaspoon of cod liver oil daily. My testosterone shot
up.
Think about it. Here is a link that you might want to read on the
subject: Vitamin A and Bodybuilding.

The only thing that I don't understand is that he slammed fish oil in a
previous article, but maybe he changed his stance on the topic. |

Considering the fact I am a well known author all over the plant, having
written for pretty much every pub related to bbing, health, and fitness,
I am treated quite well by folks. Bone heads like you and him I don't
put up with however, and some people don't like it. Tough sh*& for them

If rats had been fish hunters and eaters for centuries and centuries,
they had been a nice model to study effects of fish oil in an
environment adapted to exposal of long chain PUFA's as man is.
But unfortunately, such behaviour has not been proven yet. And thus,
studies of DHA and EPA on rats turn into toxicological studies about
effects in an organism not adapted to exposal of such acids.
It's like using C. botulinum to study the positive effects of oxygen
exposal (which is killed by O2 at a partial O2 pressured of about
10(-15) bar.)
Conclusion from such studies must be, don¨t get exposed to oxygen, it
will kill you immediately at any concentration given, unless below
10(-15) bar. |
