Uh, did you say you are HALF AS strong as you WERE in your 20s? Is
that actually what you meant to say? You've gotten weaker?

Is that using the Larry Hodges method of calculating bf%? Because,

I have 32 waist Levis, but that really doesn't correlate to waist
measurement, Will. Pant size is deceptive at best.

Will, honestly, you're not a big guy by man on the street standards.

True. Good for you for posting the pics.
(Still, next time, step up on the Tom Cruise box before posing next to
someone as tall as Seal. Damn.)

Maybe, but considering your height (or lack of) you don't have much to
squat. I'm sorry that your growth was stunted. As for 1/2 the
strength you were -- isn't BBing about progress? I understand that was
a long time ago, but still. Maybe you were juicing back then, I dunno.
Dude, it's time to get over your short man syndrome. |

Brinks is a lying little cunt who never even graduated high school!
His grasp on the English language is tenuous in the extreme, and it is
apparent he has had little or no formal education.
That in itself is no big deal, but he is such a detestable little twat
that it is always a pleasure to prick his inflated sense of
importance. |

What about his statement didn't make sense to you, Brink? You said
that you're HALF as strong NOW as you were in your 20's. Flip that and
you're saying, imo, you were TWICE as strong THEN.
Here are your exact words (from elsewhere in this thread):
"I am about half as strong as i was in my 20s."
Hth.

Actually, I snipped MFW -- just like I did to this reply -- because the
context of the discussion has little to do with MFW and everything to
do with folks who have glucose impairments. You're certainly welcome
to discuss it in SMN is you think you can muster up something new to
add and actually stay on topic. |

He does not need to. You removed the MFW cross post yet again in an
attempt to avoid responses from him or I. Old trick, but I guess it's

ok, whoever feels they are qualified to answer this please do:
is it true that vitamin A is required to effectively absorb protein? I
read this from Eat Fat Lost Fat by Dr's Fallon and Enig as well as the
Weston Price Foundation. They also claim that protein powders are not
good because they deplete vitamin A but overall its their claim that
taking the powder by itself is harmful because of a lack of fat. My
question is that this should all be avoided if it's not taken in
isolating right? Like in a shake consisting of alot of fat? But what
about all the hype of pre and post workout whey supplementation? Who
to believe? Will?
Here is also an excerpt I found on the Weston Price Foundation:
PROTEIN POWDERS NIXED
I am a weight-training specialist. For some time I have had great
concerns regarding the overuse of whey, soy and various protein powders
in the exercise industry. Many lifters and exercise enthusiasts these
days almost exist on these powders. I am concerned about whey protein
because it is produced from cooked milk which, according to the
Pottenger's Cats study, can only provide inferior protein, no matter
how you market it! This same group of people has been trained to fear
saturated animal fat, which I feel only makes the whole issue of high
protein powder consumption worse.
In my lectures, I often tell people to simply look at what nature
provides in natural meat sources in the form of fats, proteins, enzymes
and other nutrients such as vitamins and trace minerals and compare
that with what you get in "designer protein." I have calculated
that the manufacturer produces such proteins for about $1-$3 per gallon
container. That same gallon container will comfortably hold about $170
worth of organic free-range eye fillet of beef. How could one actually
expect to find a protein source that can compete with $170 worth of
nature's best for $1-$3?
Paul Chek, Founder, CHEK Institute
Encinatas, CA
Now, I believe in everything they say about the higher saturated fat
diet (I follow it myself) but just skeptical about the protein powder
claim, and to a lesser extent their push for cod liver oil. |
