Question
|
|
|
Has anyone who has had peripheral vascular bypass or stent surgury been
involved in the PERIOPERATIVE BETA BLOCKER STUDY.
It is a study if one is having (they are now using it certain hospitals
in vascular surgery) But it can be for any surgury other than cardiac
(it is if the patient is at cardiac risk category) during the surgery
if one's blood pressure goes up they would give intravenous beta
blockers instead of what they normally would use to lower the blood
pressure.
There are pros & cons on this like if one is in a low risk they say it
can do more harm than good. Please has anyone been in this study in
ref to vascular surgury or any other. It is in with the NIH FDA etc.
Certain hospitals are participating in it. If anyone is interested I
can post article on it from the NEJM. thanks a lot.
One signs a consent form for it but does not waive any legal rights of
damage. Also one is entitled to the study report of the patients
involvement. |

Would suggest you ask this question in a legitimate cardiology forum.
The dangerous lunatic Andrew B Chung has taken over this one. Please
forgive his insanity. |
