Calcium supplement side effects
|
|
|
Hi
My physician (since I so lot of sport and I'm strenuosly physical
active 4 hours each day) prescribed me calcium supplement in podwer
form
The dose for pack is 1000 mg and she suggested me to take 3/4 of a pack
daily
I've been taking it for 5 days and everytime I take my calcium I feel
just few seconds later: spacey, light-headed, tired and cold in the
feet
I discussed these symptoms with my physician but she says that they're
very strange and maybe it's just a coincidence and that she has been
prescribed that kind of supplements to children too and they're safe
But I'm not imagining it, I don't have any kind of symptoms until I
take my calcium and just few second after drinking it I feel the same
symptoms all the time: I feel light-headed and spacey and my feet
becomes very cold even if it's 35° C outside
I'd appreciate your imput
Do you think it's normal to have side affect with calcium supplements?
Does that ever happened to anybody else?
Thanks

Generally, calcium should be taken with Vitamin D, Vitamin K and,
Magnesium and Phosphorus. Otherwise, you may end up with a mineral
imbalance and calcium in your arteries. Not good! It's also better to
take this stuff with food.

Probably the dosages you consumed are too much and your body cannot
deal with them. Consult your doctor again about your symptomss. Try
lower intake of calcium. Good luck!
