switch from lamivudine to hepsera

Hi, I have been a chronic Hepti B sufferer for years and took
lamivudine as a medication, three month ago my doctor told me I have
became resistant to lamivudine and switched me to hepsera. Three month
later I got another blood test and I was told my HBV viral count is
highly elevated !! I don't get to see the doctore until next week and
the doctor's office won't tell me anything else either. Why would this
be the case switching to hepsera, which is supposedly more potent and
effective then lamivudine, seem to worsen my condition ???

Has anyone experienced this? Any comment is highly appreciated......
