And so for the ASSHOLES on this newsgroup. who dare to call their fellow sufferers INSANE, here is the word from the CT State Department of Health, saying we really are sick

"Symptoms of the disease include skin rash, depression, dementia, loss
of reflexes, muscle aches and blurry vision."
MEANING, the assholes like Joel and Donald Dickson, who DARE to say we
are crazy and not sick, are the ones who are really CRAZY.
Donald Dickson's children have Lyme disease.
Donald Dickson does not activism on their behalf,
nor do they see a Lyme specialist.

Donald Dickson brutalizing the children, instead.
This is also DCF's job, to see children get adequate care and a good
outcome for children.

Lyme Disease Cases In State Up 34 Percent Last Year
Associated Press
May 22 2006
Cases of Lyme disease in Connecticut jumped 34 percent last year,
mainly because there were more animals for disease-carrying ticks to
feed on, state health officials said.
The state Department of Public Health said doctors reported 1,810 new
cases of Lyme disease, up from 1,348 in 2004. There were 53 cases per
100,000 people in the state last year.
Windham County had the highest rate in 2005, 173 cases per 100,000
people. Litchfield County was next with 164 cases per 100,000, and New
London County was third with 120 per 100,000.
The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 19,804
cases of Lyme disease across the country in 2004, the latest year for
which statistics are available. That is a rate of 6.7 cases per 100,000
people. Connecticut's rate in 2004 was 39.6 cases per 100,000.
There is more Lyme disease in northern states because of deer ticks.
Symptoms of the disease include skin rash, depression, dementia, loss
of reflexes, muscle aches and blurry vision. The CDC says most cases of
Lyme disease can be treated with a few weeks of antibiotics, and, to
prevent it, recommends using insect repellent and removing ticks
promptly.
Health officials told the Greenwich Time that an increase in the number
of deer, mice, chipmunks and other animals ticks feed on helped more of
the insects survive last year.
Kirby Stafford, chief entomologist and vice director of the Connecticut
Agricultural Experiment Station, a state-supported research institution
based in New Haven, said weather conditions influence the populations
of animals ticks feed on, which in turn affects how many ticks get
blood meals.
"The gross number is kind of tied with the deer population, because the
number of deer is one of the main determinants of what the overall
number of ticks is," Stafford said.
U.S. Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., is sponsoring a bill that would
expand federal efforts to prevent, treat and research Lyme disease and
other tick-borne illnesses.

Nuts is nuts, hon.
Whether you are a loon because of a 'permanent brain infecfion'...or
you were a paranoid schizophrenic who contracted Lyme disease...or you
are just a loon from other causes...
....you are still a loon.
And you make damn little sense...except to other loons...
....and just because you are a loon doesn't mean you have to be on the
internet posting all the time...proving you are a loon. |

try to understand something, drittemann...schizophrenia is a SYNDROME
and lyme disease is, supposedly, a disease. you can't compare the
two...schizophrenia has many causes, some known, some unknown...among
the causes of the schizophrenia syndrome are various brain tumors,
inherited metabolic disease {such as adult-onset metachromatic
leukodystrophy}, status epileptus TLE{itself a syndrome}, certain
toxins, neurosyphilis...also...neuroborreliosis...so you see, to state
that someone was a paranoid schizophrenic who contracted Lyme disease
may be illogical...after all, it's entirely possible that the
schizophrenic state was induced by a CNS lyme infection...in
mathematical terms, you could say that as a syndrome with many causes,
some unknown, "schizophrenia" could be represented as an open-ended
set...whose identifiable elements include "lyme disease".
I find your gross ignorance with respect to CNS and neuropsychiatric
conditions to be appalling - very disturbing. |

Oh, BFD.
I find YOU to be "very disturbing" and disturbed.
See if you can figure it out, Princess Numbnuts...
....the point was...(since you quite clearly are one yourself)...
....that CRAZY is CRAZY no matter what the cause...in context of making
any damn SENSE whatever.
You are also a good example of a moron who seems to think that it's
somehow "okay" to be a total freaking whackjob so long as it's due to
an infection.
Nothing wrong with that...in my opinion...but WHY do you then think you
are making any damn sense here?
You LOONs say you are "brain-infected" and then post all kinds of
INSANITY which you then claim is NOT a product of a brain infection.
You IDIOTS are delusional in the extreme. It is one thing to SUSPECT
that "Don" and "Ed" and "Joel" are posting here...it is an entirely
differenet thing to ACT upon these FANTASIES as if they were, in fact,
REALITY.
And LISA posted all kinds of silly s**t about how other Lyme patients
who disagreed with her were actually "paid plants" "agent
provocateurs". Yeah, big friggin' surprise that they finally got her in
a strait jacket.
Remember "REALITY"?
What a concept. |

Yeah, well, actually you did. Here's what you said: "Whether you are a
loon because of a 'permanent brain infecfion'...or you were a paranoid
schizophrenic who contracted Lyme disease..."
This suggests two possibilities: {1} kathleen is a loon (a perjorative
commonly used to refer to someone with a mental disorder) BECAUSE of a
permanent brain infection; OR {2} kathleen is a paranoid schizophrenic
{a common mental syndrome} who contracted Lyme disease, the implication
being that kathleen's mental disorder existed prior to her contracting
a borrelia infection. While it's possible that someone with a mental
disorder may contract Lyme disease, the fallacy lies in suggesting that
she possessed a prior condition one of whose causes is borreliosis,
without specifically excluding CNS lyme as a cause of her "paranoid
schizophrenia". You are suggesting that kathleen was a schizophrenic
prior to contracting a borreliosis - however, since CNS infections of
this sort can result in a schizophrenic picture, your suggestion is
illogical. Melissa had a baby, and then someone ejaculated into her
vagina.??? {of course, there are other possible causes of pregnancy -
all organic - just as there are many causes of schizophrenia - one of
which is borreliosis}
Look at this example...epilepsy is another well known CNS syndrome,
with many causes. Let's substitute some words and re-write what you
wrote about kathleen from an epileptic perspective:
"Whether you are an epileptic because of a brain tumor...or you had
partial complex seizures and later developed a brain tumor..."
See how stupid this sounds? you are placing the effect before a
possible cause. Nothing meaningful or sensible can be deduced from such
angry emotionally charged dribblings. Granted, schizophrenia has many
causes, most unknown, but it is widely agreed that most if not all
cases have an organic basis. It is clear that you have little
comprehension of schizophrenia beyond using the label itself in a
negative, vituperative context, much as a bigoted racist pig might
refer to negroes and their unfortunate children as niggers and niglets.
It is your butchering of these labels and obvious ignorance of
neurological and neuropsychiatric principles which is frightening and
offensive.
Dumbass. |

You stupid diddling wanker.
The first scenario suggests that her "permanent brain infection" was
the result of Lyme, "neuroborreliosis".
The second...suggests that she had a pre-existing condition, and Lyme
either did or did not influence it. You dumbass. I carefully avoided
attributing any cause. Jackass. I didn't say one way or the other
whether this pre-existing condition was affected in any way.
I simply chose paranoid schizophrenia because that's where she used to
post until she discovered she had Lyme disease. And yeah, she easily
could have had a pre-existing mental/emotional problem...(ask her
family about "el weird one").
It doesn't matter, a*****le...she's just as nuts either way...and so are
you, asswipe.

yeah, well lisa once told me that she had witnessed frank {in person,
apparently} IM'ing martijn in dutch. Of course, none of this can be
verified, since it's all supposedly taking place beyond the oceans. I
don't think frank is real, I think he is a steere puppet possibly
mcsweegan whose "steere is scheduled for termination" was timed to
coincide with steere's propaganda piece arranged through EIS stooge
lawrence altman in 2001. |
