Side effects with Crest Pro Health rinse
|
|
|
I am an avid Listerine user. Recently I ran out and decided to give
Crest Pro Health rinse a chance. The first few days I had no
complaints. On the 3rd or 4th day, I noticed some stinging on my
tounge. By the 5th day, there was a good amount of sting even after I
was finished rinsing. I would rinse my mouth with water after but it
did little to stop the sting. I then developed a cut/sore under my
tounge. At this point, I immediately stopped using the Crest and went
back to Listerine. 4 days later now, everything is back to normal. I
am wondering if there are any known side effects to using the Crest
product. It seems like it was eating at my mouth! Thanks.

It is possible to have a sensitivity reaction to anything. Some of my
patients get similar reactions to Listerine--or just about any other
mouthwash you can name.
In general, less alcohol will be less irritating.
YMMV,
Steve
