My wife is planning to take RN exam in CA in next few months.
Would appreciate if you can give pointers to any
relevant preparatory material which would be helpful.
Thanks

Look for an NCLEX-RN exam guide in the bookstore. If you can't find it
locally www.Amazon.com has a good selection. sometimes having a couple gudes
help. Where one is weaker in a subject area the other may be stronger and
vice versa.

A much better resource (realizing this post is
old, but somebody out there besides me is probably
reading it!) is the Mosby's online CAT.

Identical to the NCLEX-RN in format, costs about
$43 including the tax, you download it in an
instant, can use it unlimited times over a 30 day
period, and it gives you feedback.

The CAT part means that if you miss a question the
next is easier, if you get one right, the next is
harder, just like the NCLEX.

It also allows you to see the rationales of all
the choices, which answers were right, which you
picked.

Doesn't get any better than that, saves trees too.

I used it exclusively (couldn't focus on the
books, that's just me), finished in 45 minutes,
had 75 questions before it shut off, and I was
bored. I had been looking for a challenge.....

Good luck!
